8r4d Oh so did I mention that #winter #running season was waiting for me when I got back to Canada. It wasn’t my first time out but Sunday’s run was -16C plus a chill, so we logged… trudged… six klicks thru the snow and called it a cold success.

8r4d Well Plan A got a little sidetracked and we got to the train station and the tickets to the airport were sold out until about 615pm departures. Or flight leaves at 625pm. Um.

Plan B involved hiking all the way across Tokyo Station and catching the bus. So there were went.

Long story short, we arrived at Narita in less style than we left it, even passing in visible range of our Disneyland hotel which we’d left just three hours previous. We checked in, ate some more conveyor belt #sushi and then proceeded thru security and exit immigration.

In a couple hours, fingers crossed for no delays, we’ll be in the air and en route … and it’s sayonara #japan [read more...]

8r4d We stayed for about nine hours and bailed a bit early. Regrettably Karin has picked up a bit of a cold on our last couple days so she trooped thru most of the day but started to fade when the rain arrived and the wind came off the ocean bay and cooled us down. [read more...]
