The unofficial main street of Edmonton. Sure, maybe Jasper Ave is downtown, but Whyte is where it really is.

8r4d One more afternoon at #fringefestival 2025 and wandering around #whyteavenue for giggles. I won’t tell you what we saw because it was a bit of a stinker but then that’s what the festival is all about—watching new and weird and creative things and not everything is gonna be amazing, right?

8r4d It’s #yeg #fringefestival again on #whyteavenue … we did a sunday double feature, checking out Plays by Bots #improvtheatre at Rapid Fire and then Colin Mochrie at the old trusty Garneau Theatre.

8r4d The Kid and I made a trek up to #whyteavenue this afternoon because she had a #book itch that needed scratching and I was up for a walk.

The place was pretty quiet for the day after boxing day, and we didn’t spend very much money, terrible #shopping drones that were are, but it was a nice December day for some local colour.

8r4d I find myself unexpectedly on #whyteavenue on a Wednesday evening, sipping #tea and #writing because The Kid needed a ride up to an #improvtheatre orientation up here. I didn’t really expect to be up here and, yeah, I tried the library but where my #keyboard is usually quiet enough for the background him of the cafe to not be annoying, I felt very self conscious about the clickety-clack in the super-quiet library what with people, probably students, studying all around me. So—I paid for a peppermint tea and here I sit, trying to feel inspired or something.
