Mysterious bubbles have appeared in the #downtown. These turned out to be a #publicart installation for another #edmonton#festival called Spark, and lots of fun to wander around at #lunchtime.

Awesome find at the used bookstore #downtown this lunch break … as i keep my progress towards a local encyclopedia and (unofficial) amateur #city of #edmonton historian … it's always fun to know a bit of the history of the places we visit on foot or however.

Sunday morning the smoke was pretty bad, but the sun was trying to push through and the red glow fighting the clouds made for some cool if surreal effects.

Here be #bbq ! The kid has taken away my apron and has become the master chef of all things dinner lately, including taking over many of the grilling duties that have long since been my responsibility. She’s pretty good at it, too!

This pic, tho not exciting for most, sums up my recent progress in rebuilding my #running career after spending the last six months in physiotherapy for an injured mcl. Productive is a waaaaaay better status than Detraining or No Status.
The local park is big enough for a 1.5 km (about 1 mile) loop on cross country skis each winter, but we need to cut and groom the trails ourselves. I kicked off the annual trail setting effort after the recent cold snap & fresh snow.
I put together a little video from some year-old footage I found in my drive of a rough drive through the snowy mountains. It’s not exactly viral but in 24 hours it had almost 150 views and counting.
