Your #japan phrase of the day is
わかりません
or wakarimasen meaning “I don’t understand.” …something I suspect we’ll be getting some good mileage on this first few days. I took a bunch of Japanese lessons (and of course 10 months of duolingo) but this has just started to get me a toehold into a complex and beautiful language.

On the #japan food bucket list was to try 7 Eleven snacks at least once. Or first night I was feeling a bit peckish (because it was breakfast time back home) so I nabbed an onigiri and a sushi roll. Less than five bucks and better than most any sushi we get back home. From 7-11! [read more...]

Our first hotel is just a ten minute walk from the famous scramble crossing. The area nearby is essentially got a #japan times square vibe. Shopping. Lights. Food. People. Nightlife. We’re crazy jetlagged so we just wandered a bit and then back to the hotel to try and adjust our schedules. [read more...]
