pixelazy I didn’t climb these #stairs on my run tonight, they were my turn-back point, but I did climb them a few weeks ago weeks ago when I walked to the mall this way. They sure look magnificent in the trees and sunlight.

8r4d Day 27 of my May #running streak and I opted to head down to the #rivervalley to get some sunshine trails in. Back on Friday I ran up by the drop off… well the drop off overlooks this particular park span between the two footbridges, or where I was down running this evening. My 3k route (x2 out and back) made for a 6k run and an encounter with about a hundred people out walking, biking, running, or riding one wheeled motorized unicycles.

gamerdad As far as five dollar games on #steam go, Beseige will probably make it back into my pay rotation soon. I read a little review of this that popped into my feed the other day and it caught my attention enough to look it up. It's a little sandbox game where you build little structures to attack the army or camp or castle on each stage. Kind of a hundred different tactics to try kinda simulation, and it sparks that puzzle solving vibe. It’s too bad it is very much not a steamdeck game, definitely a little too clunky for that on the control pad and touchscreen, but as a hide in the basement and play games on the desktop selection, definitely a solid 8 out of ten.

8r4d It was our year end concert for #orchestra this afternoon. Summer break now and time to get back into my solo #violin for a few months.

8r4d Sunday Runday and while most of the #runcrew was off doing a variety of races, a few of us tackled the regular #running routine (and day 26 of my streak) with a wandering 8k while trying to avoid the local race that was happening all around us and that we kept tripping over. We even saw SH zip by on the way to his first place finish in the 10k.

castironguy It’s #bbq season. I’ve been grilling smokies all week but I think it’s official with the first hamburgers of the year.

8r4d A twenty five day #running streak seems like some kind of a milestone and very nearly an excuse to stop but i’m already committed to running tomorrow on Sunday, and then it’s just a few short days until the end of May so… on we go. With everyone off at races this weekend it’s gonna be more quiet runs with just solo or a handful of folks. I obviously added some mid to my gauntlet this morning as it was. And my route took me down some familiar trails and some quasi familiar side road where I often walk or drive but rarely run.

8r4dsfeets About twenty years back a trio of houses collapsed into the #rivervalley and nothing was ever rebuilt there. Now all that remains is a view and some remnants of their driveways.

8r4d Friday is a tough day for a #running streak run if only because A we just ran last night and B I’ve usually got stuff going on in the evening so I need to do an afternoon or even a morning run. Today was one of those even a morning run, so I drove somewhere different and did some loops in a nearby neighborhood to add to my gauntlet. Nicely I got that awesome #rivervalley drop off view a couple times.

adventuredog For the third day in a row we’re back at the little lake enjoying the peace and quiet of the #birdsong and #morning sunshine. We’re mostly in the company of red winged blackbirds nesting in the, as far as I can see, though there are some other random songbirds and a few ducks on the water. #birdwatching

8r4d Heres we go again. Is half past ten at night and the road paving crew just showed up to repave the street. Good luck sleeping tonight. #construction #city

8r4d We ran early this Thursday because wouldn’t you know it but the local hockey dudes are skipping their regular golf season and playing deeper into the playoffs than expected, so folks apparently want to watch it. We did a 9k #running tour of a southerly neighbourhood, the same place where RM and I ran a couple weeks back while hunting for beavers. This makes for 23 days in a row, by the way.

8r4d The dog and I are enjoying the morning #soundscape of #birdsong by the suburban lake near our walking route. This morning I tried using my field recorder to capture some cleaner clips than my phone’s voice recorder can manage. The pup rolled around in the wet grass.
